Wayne "Stub" McGee

Wayne McGee, 92, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 7, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio to Fredrick and Frances McGee. Stub was a graduate of Clay High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War. He worked various jobs over the years including brick mason, construction, and as a press operator for Acklin Stamping, retiring after 28 years of service. Wayne was a member of Harvest Apostolic Temple.  He was also a big supporter of Oregon sports and a member of the Clay Athletic Boosters. Wayne helped form the P.A.L team and loved fishing, hunting, bowling, and playing horseshoes. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and attending the grandkids sporting events.  He will be dearly missed.

Wayne is survived by his children, Don (Cindy) McGee, Jackie McGee, Dawn Hill, and Gail (Charles “Don”) Crapes, grandchildren, Chas, Monica, Christina, David, Amy, and Mikayla, great-grandchildren, Christianna, Camile, Aiden, Calli, Leysea, Corinne, Carly, Chloe, Clay, Gavin, Nolan; great great-grandson, Atsyn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Frances McGee; wife, Mary, grandson, Kruse; son-in-law, Doug Hill, 9 brothers and 3 sisters.

Friends may visit at Freck Funeral Chapel Wynn at Pickle Rd. (419) 693-9304, Monday, September 27, 2021 from 2-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
