Terra State offers scholarships for short-term certificate programs

        In partnership with the Ohio Department of Higher Education, Terra State Community College has been awarded an additional $13,750 through the Short-Term Certificate Grant Program (STCGP).
        The STCGP allows students to receive a certificate for up to $2,000 each. To enroll, current and prospective students must show financial need. Eligible programs include those that are Pell-eligible and non-Pell eligible.            “The Short-Term Certificate Grant Program is a great opportunity for students to reduce out-of-pocket expenses that other financial aid may not cover. We are pleased to be able to offer this grant to students and assist them in easing the financial burden of reaching their educational goals,” said Coordinator of Financial Aid Jessica McCarthy.       Terra State offers more than 200 short-term certificates that allow students to gain skills in high-demand fields. Programs include credit and non-credit courses.
        The 10 for-credit certificates available through the college’s normal admissions process are:
        • Integrated Applications – Based Curriculum in Advanced Manufacturing
        • Communication
        • Personal Computer Technician Certificate
        • General Business
        • Intermediate Business
        • Industrial Maintenance
        • Precision Machining
        • Phlebotomy
        • Welding
        • Commercial Driver

        • Human Resources Professional
        • Certified Quality Engineer
