On track at Ashland University
        The following students are members of the track and field team at Ashland University:
        • Noah Koch, of Oregon. Koch, who is majoring in sports management, is a 2019 graduate of Genoa Area High School, he competes in throwing for the Eagles.
        • Tyler Sievert, of Graytown, is majoring in exercise science. A 2015 graduate of Oak Harbor High School, he competes in distance for the Eagles.
        • Makayla Wagner, of Oak Harbor, who is majoring in biology. A 2017 graduate of Oak Harbor High School, Wagner, a junior, competes in distance for the Eagles.
        The Ashland University men's and women's track and field team competes in NCAA Division II in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
 
“All That Jazz”
Morgan Kuhlman, of Millbury, recently performed in the University of Findlay Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble's pops concert, “All That Jazz.” The band performed selections of American Jazz. The annual winter concert was directed by Jack Taylor, University professor of music.
 
Inducted
        John Carroll University student Kara Barshel, of Oregon, was inducted into Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology.
 
Accounting Honor Roll
        Grant Meyer, of Curtice, was named to the Canisius College Accounting Honor Roll for the fall 2019 semester. To qualify for the Accounting Honor Roll, accounting students must attain a grade point average of 3.2 or higher in at least two accounting courses taken concurrently.
        Meyer was one of 32 Canisius College students named to the Accounting Honor Roll for the fall 2019 semester.
        Housed within the Richard J. Wehle School of Business, the Canisius College accounting program is ranked number one in New York State, based on the latest (2018) CPA exam results, and among the top 6% in the nation, according to a 2020 ranking by U.S. News & World Report.
 
Theater honorary
        Macy Campbell of Genoa, is a member of Ashland University's Alpha Psi Omega. Campbell, who is majoring in theater, is a 2017 graduate of Genoa Area High School.
        Alpha Psi Omega is the theater honorary that credits students who have made outstanding contributions to the theatre and have been deemed worthy to receive recognition.
