Stritch’s Hardy girls honored by college cage conference

Lourdes University women’s basketball players Jami Hardy (Cardinal Stritch) and Kali Hardy (Cardinal Stritch) were selected to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.
They are two of three Hardy girls from Stritch who play for Lourdes. Jami is a 5-foot-7 junior guard, Kali is a 5-4 redshirt sophomore guard, and Courteney Hardy is a 5-6 sophomore guard.
The WHAC All-Academic Team honors those student-athletes who are a junior or above with at least a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
Playing in the first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament game in program history, Lourdes fell to 10th-ranked Indiana Tech 74-41 in the quarterfinals played inside of the Schaefer Center in Fort Wayne, Ind. Lourdes saw its season end after tying the school record with 11 victories this year.
“I was proud of this team for qualifying for the tournament and playing in postseason for the first time tonight,” Lourdes coach John Kenger said.  “Now that we have arrived, this needs to be the standard from which we continue to build.”
Courteney Hardy played in 14 games, starting one, and scored 17 points with 24 rebounds, four assists and two steals while Kali, who missed much of the season because of an injury, played in nine games, scoring nine points with 14 rebounds, two assists and three steals. Jami redshirted and did not play.
