Habitat golf scramble
The Annual Habitat for Humanity of Ottawa County Golf Scramble will be held Friday, Aug. 26 at Hidden Hills Golf Club, 4900 Country Rd., Woodville.
Organizers are looking for teams, sponsors, items for goodie bags and door prizes.
“In the last few years, we’ve seen an explosion in costs associated with new construction,” said Debi Heiks, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Ottawa County. “We are currently building a home in Elmore for a family of five. The costs of building make it difficult to keep the house affordable for the new family.”
All proceeds from the golf scramble will go towards the new home build.
The event will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The team entry fee is $260. The deadline for scramble entry is Friday, Aug. 26.
For more information, email hfhoc@cros.net or call Heiks at 419-734-7074.
