Medical Mutual Glass City Balloon Race lifting off Sept. 27-28

        The 2019 Glass City Balloon Race will return to Rossford Sept. 27 and 28 in the Crossroads behind Meijer, 10055 Olde U.S. 20.
        Medical Mutual is the Grand Event Sponsor and Sky Zone is the Presenting Sponsor of this family-friendly event, which will take place 4-11 p.m. on Friday and 3-11 p.m. on Saturday.
        Visitors can enjoy a wide menu of food from 20 food trucks, kids’ inflatables and carnival rides, balloon ascensions and evening balloon glows, fireworks, vendors, and local and regional bands. Parking and admission are free.
        Shuttle service will be provided from the outer ring of the parking lots from Meijer through Home Depot. Handicapped parking will be available at the north end of the Meijer building.
        A limited number of VIP Tickets are available for Friday evening, which include food, drinks, access to the balloon field and front of the stage and a chance to win a balloon ride for two for Friday evening’s flight – all for $20/person at www.GlassCityBalloonRace-RossfordOhio.com.

        Friday, Sept. 27:

        • 4-6:15 p.m. – Music by Another Life.
        • 5:30 p.m. - Balloon ascension.
        • 6:45-8 p.m. – Music by Mustang Sally.
        • 8 p.m. - Balloon GLOW sponsored by Reliance Propane and iHeart Radio.
        • 9 p.m. - Fireworks sponsored by Meijer.
        • 9:30-10:45 p.m. – Music by Mustang Sally.
        Saturday, Sept. 28:
        • 3-11 p.m. – Food trucks, vendors, kids’ rides and activities.
        • 3:30-4:30 p.m. –Balloon pilot meet & greets on the field.
        • 4-6:10 p.m. – Music by The New Fashioned.
        • 5:30 p.m. - Balloon ascension.
        • 6:40-8 p.m. – Music by The Menus.
        • 8 p.m. - Balloon GLOW sponsored by Logan Creek and iHeart Radio.
        • 9 p.m. - Fireworks sponsored by Meijer.
