Mark B. Widman
January 2, 1963 – July 24, 2019

Mark B. Widman, age 56, of Genoa, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2019 in Tiffin surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on January 2, 1963 in Norwalk, Ohio to George and Mary Rose (Cooper) Widman. 

Mark attended St Mary’s Catholic School and graduated from Norwalk High School in 1981.  He received a degree in Food Service Management from the University of Toledo and was the Culinary Director for Lake Bryn Mawr Camp and Jeff Lake Camp for nearly 22 years. A Fourth-Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Mark also served on the board for the Towne & Country Players in Norwalk and was a past member and President of Norwalk City Council. 

Mark enjoyed spending time with his family, attending his daughter’s theatrical productions, following his niece’s and nephew’s activities, and catching Toledo Mudhens games.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Rose Widman of Norwalk; daughter, Jacqueline Widman of Chicago; siblings, Joseph (Barb) Widman of Norwalk, Mary Margaret (Dean) Watson of Tiffin, William (Carrie) Widman of St Mary’s, Ruthann Stocker of Norwalk and Christopher (Joni) Widman of Tiffin.  Mark is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father, George Widman.

Visitation will be held at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W Main St, Norwalk, OH 44857 on Monday, July 29, 2019 from 3-7 pm with a rosary and service to be held beginning at 7 pm.  A funeral mass will be held at St Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, 38 W League St, Norwalk, OH 44857 on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 10:30 am with Fr Francis Mariadas officiating.  Burial will follow in St Mary Catholic Cemetery.  Memorial contributions if desired may be made to Towne and Country Players, PO Box 551, Norwalk, OH 44857, or St Mary Cemetery, 38 W League St, Norwalk, OH 44857.  Online expressions of sympathy may be expressed by visiting www.walkereastmanheydingerfh.com.
