Local scout’s Eagle Project to include Senior Lunch & Game Day

        A Northwood scout will host a Senior Lunch & Game Day Monday, Nov. 4, at the Northwood Community Center, 3700 Main St., Northwood.
        Area seniors ages 62 and older are invited to the event, which is being hosted by Adrian Schimmel as part of his Eagle Scout Project. Schimmel, 17, is a senior at St. John’s High School. He is the son of Ed and Carolyn Schimmel.
        The City of Northwood and BSA Troop 63 are sponsoring the event, which will include lunch, along with cards, board games, fellowship and a tour of the new community center.
        RSVP is not required.
        Part of Schimmel’s project is to assemble a new game cabinet to hold board games and activities to be used at the community center. Attendees are asked to bring new or gently used board games to donate to the cabinet. He will also accept donations to purchase games, chess boards and cards to stock the cabinet.
