Lineup announced for 14th Live! In The House concert series
The Lisa Biales Trio will take the stage at the Historic Pemberville Opera House Saturday, Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m. The performance is the kickoff of the 14th Live! In The House Concert Series, presented by the Pemberville Freedom Area Historical Society.
Folksy, bluesy and jazzy songbird Lisa Biales has been called “The Norman Rockwell of songwriters with the crystal pure voice.” She is joined by Doug Hamilton, a classically trained improvising violinist who, over his 40-year career, has shared the stage with artists as diverse as Barbara Mandrell, Tricia Yearwood, Jo El Sonnier and Victor Wooten. Rounding out the trio is Michael Gilbert Ronstadt, who is primarily known for his versatility on cello, but also as a songwriter, singer, guitarist and composer/arranger.
The concert series lineup also includes:
• Oct. 1 – The Farm Hands, performing bluegrass/gospel.
• Nov. 5 – Corinne Stavish, professional storyteller.
• Dec. 3 – Djangophonique, a virtuosic, instrumentally driven quartet led by guitar player Andrew Brown. • Jan. 7, 2023 – Silent Movie Night, one of the annual series’ most popular programs. Take a stroll down to the local movie house and catch a “flicker show” accompanied by Lynne Long on the piano.
• Feb. 4 – The Baker Family, a high-energy family band performing bluegrass, gospel and classic country.
• March 4 – 6th Edition Vocal Ensemble offering catchy hooks and smooth vocals combined with a restless pop punk sound.
• April 1 – The Frenchtown Playboys. Rooted in the jaunty rhythms and lyrics of “hokum blues” from the 1920s and `30s, a Frenchtown Playboys show has elements of comedy, nostalgia, and novelty.
• May 6 – Blackthorn Celtic Band performing the traditional music of Ireland, Scotland and English and French Canada.
Individual tickets are $12 each. Season tickets are $90. Tickets are available at Beeker’s General Store, 226 E. Front St., Pemberville, or at the door at the Pemberville Opera House, located at 115 Main St.
