Kane, Musselman to play soccer
Lourdes University head women’s soccer coach Jackie Phillips has announced the signings of 13 players that will join the Gray Wolf program beginning in the fall of 2019, including a Cardinal Stritch and Clay senior.
Joining the program are Skyler Crane, Kasey Golaboff, Morgan Henkle, Elaina Hillman, Emily Johnson, Katelyn Kane, Katie Koch, Amanda Lopez, Abigail Mann, Aubrey Marsh, Jayla Musselman, Chloe Shaffer, and Erika Turk.
“We are thrilled to be adding such a talented and committed class to the program,” Phillips stated. “We feel strongly that these ladies will contribute positively to our team culture and the culture of Lourdes University. This class was an important one for the development of the program so we are excited already for the fall season. We know they will do great things here at Lourdes.”
Kane is a midfielder from Toledo and played at Cardinal Stritch. A first Team All-Toledo Area Athletic Conference selection as a senior, she also was a Second All-Northwest Ohio High School Soccer League honoree. She plays club soccer for Glass City Soccer.
Musselman is a defender from Oregon and played at Clay. She earned Honorable Mention All-Three Rivers Athletic Conference honors for the Eagles as a senior. She plays club soccer for FC Metro.
Crane, a midfield/defender from Cleveland, Ohio is a product of Holy Name High School. She earned All-Greater Cleveland honors for the Green Wave while also playing club soccer for the Cleveland Whitecaps.
Golaboff is a forward from Parma, Ohio where she was a First Team All-Northeast Ohio Conference selection for Valley Forge High School. She was also a Second Team All-Greater Cleveland selection and plays club soccer for N.E.O. Soccer Club.
Henkle, a product of Toledo, Ohio played her prep soccer at Whitmer High School. A forward, she was the Player of the Year in Northwest Ohio as a junior and a First Team All-Three Rivers Athletic Conference selection as a senior. She plays club soccer for Greater Toledo Futbol Club.
Hillman, a midfielder from Woodhaven, Mich. played at Woodhaven High School. She was a four-time First Team All-News Herald honoree as well as a First Team All-District selection throughout her prep career. She plays club soccer for Canton Celtic.
Johnson is from Lapeer, Mich. where she earned First Team All-Saginaw Valley League and First Team All-District honors for Lapeer High School. She plays club soccer for Nationals.
Koch is a midfielder from Westerville, Ohio. She helped lead Westerville North High School to a runner-up finish in the district finals as a senior. She plays club soccer for FC614.
Lopez arrives at Lourdes from Maumee, Ohio where she played for Springfield High School. A midfielder, she plays club soccer for Pacesetter SC, helping her team to the State Cup championship in 2018.
Mann is a native of Toledo, Ohio and played her prep soccer at Sylvania Southview. She was a First Team All-Northern Lakes League selection for the Cougars and led the state in assists during the regular season. She plays club soccer for Pacesetter SC.
Marsh is a product of Flushing, Mich. She helped Flushing High School to a Flint Metro League runner-up finish in 2019 as a goalkeeper. She plays club soccer for Canton Celtic.
Shaffer is a native of Rossford, Ohio and played prep soccer at Central Catholic High School. A forward, she earned Second Team All-Three Rivers Athletic Conference honors for the Fighting Irish. She plays club soccer for FC Metro.
Turk is a native of Parma, Ohio and played at Parma Senior High School. She earned First Team All-Great Lakes Conference honors three times for the Redmen. She plays club soccer for N.E.O. Soccer Club.
