Thanks to a generous grant from the Portage Resale Center, Joyful Connections has added a Little Free Pantry at its location, 8200 W. SR 163 in Oak Harbor.
The pantry is located outside the main doors of the building and is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is currently stocked with non-perishable items and personal hygiene items.
In addition to the items listed above, fresh baked goods donated by Panera Bread will be available every Friday on a first come, first served basis. During the past few weeks, these items have included bread, cookies, cinnamon rolls and bagels.
“Joyful Connections is excited to be a part of Panera’s Day-End Dough-Nation program and is looking forward to sharing with our local community,” said Tami Matthews, executive director. “We are grateful for the Portage Resale Center, Panera Bread, The Chapel, and all those who have donated items for our Little Free Pantry.”
Those who are interested in donating may drop off items Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Joyful Connections is a local agency that provides supervised visitations and exchanges, and parent coaching. The agency provides a child-focused, healthy, safe and home-like environment where children can interact with family members in a non-judgmental setting.
