Hayes Presidential offering free admission, activities on Feb. 21
Celebrate Presidents Day with free admission and activities on Monday, Feb. 21, at the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums, America’s first presidential library.
Hayes Presidential will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offer a day-long celebration.
Visitors can take a free, self-guided tour of the museum and sign up for a free tour of the first floor of the Hayes Home.
Hayes Home tours will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and no advance reservations are taken. The last tour will depart at 4:30 p.m.
The research library will be closed for the holiday.
Throughout the day, there will be an interactive artifact display in the museum and crafts and activities, including practicing your presidential signature, museum bingo and a scavenger hunt.
From 10:30-11:30 a.m., Lynne Wagner, of Birchard Public Library, will read a book about presidential pets to kids in the museum auditorium.
