Fowler wins 2 district titles

In the Division III district track meet at Perkins High School in Sandusky, Woodmore girls placed fourth with 57 points, Northwood was 11th with 29 points and Gibsonburg was 12th with 23 points. In the boys meet, Woodmore was fourth (57), Gibsonburg seventh (42½) and Northwood eighth (42). Margaretta won the girls meet, scoring 79½ and Ottawa Hills scored 88 to win the boys meet.
Northwood senior Trinity Fowler won the 1600, finishing in 5:22 to beat Woodmore sophomore Ava Beam, who was second in 5:19.7. Fowler also won the 800 with at time of 2:20.05, defeating New London junior Savannah Shaver by nearly four seconds (2:24.35).
Northwood senior Jon Lucas won the 400 meter run with a time of 51.58 seconds, beating Old Fort junior Mason Salas (51.88).
Woodmore freshman Luke Travis won the 100 meter hurdles, finishing in 16.45 seconds, nipping Collins Western Reserve freshman Jacob Jarrett (17 seconds). Woodmore junior Cole Sotak won the pole vault, clearing 14 feet.
