DeAnn Broka, STNA (state tested nursing assistant) and activity aide at Manor at Perrysburg, was recently recognized as 2021 Healthcare Care Giver of the Year by Connextions Healthcare Networking Group.
        Connextions is a senior healthcare network of members that exchange information, ideas, referrals and support in the Greater Toledo and Monroe, Michigan marketplace.
        Broka was nominated by Lauren Gillespie, director of business at Manor at Perrysburg.
        Her Manor at Perrysburg coworkers and Connextions members, joining via Zoom, surprised Broka with flowers, gift cards and well wishes to celebrate her achievement.
        A luncheon, featuring Deets BBQ, served by their food truck in the Manor at Perrysburg parking lot, followed the celebration.
