Chase away cabin fever with special weekend events at the Zoo

        Bundle up and beat the winter blahs at Cabin Fever Weekends … with unique Zoo experiences each Saturday, along with a full schedule of animal encounters, feeds and demonstrations each Sunday.
        This winter weekend event starts Saturday, Jan. 4 and continues weekly through Feb 29. Cabin Fever Weekend events are included with Zoo admission.

        Cabin Fever Weekends in January will explore one indoor Zoo exhibit a week, while February will be theme focused. In addition to the animals, there are animated character meet-and-greets, games, creative crafts, teachable conservation moments and more.
        The Saturday schedule includes:
        • Jan. 4: ProMedica Museum of Natural History;
• Jan. 11: Aviary;
• Jan. 18: Aquarium (Free Lucas County Admission for Martin Luther King holiday weekend).
• Jan. 25: Arctic Encounter;
        • Feb. 1: Zooper Bowl;
• Feb. 8: Great Apes and Primates;
        • Feb. 15: Happy Hearts Day;
        • Feb. 22: Play Naturally Toledo Day;
        • Feb. 29: Reptile House.
        On Sundays, the Zoo will offer animal feeds and demonstrations including:
        • 10:30 a.m. – Snow Leopard Enrichment, near Tembo Trail;
        • 11 a.m. – Saltwater Croc Training Demo, Reptile House;
        • Noon – Meet an Animal, Nature’s Neighborhood;
        • 12:30 p.m. – Meet an Animal, Museum;
        • 1 p.m. – Meet an Animal, Nature’s Neighborhood;
        • 1:30 p.m. – Otter Enrichment, Tembo Trail;
        • 2 p.m. – Live Dive, Aquarium;
        • 2:30 p.m. – Tasmanian Devil Enrichment, Tembo Trail;
        • 3 p.m. – Live Dive, Aquarium;
        • 3:30 p.m. – Red Panda Talk, Primate Forest.
