Brits on the boardwalk
With the Union Jack flag in hand, on the day of King Charles III coronation, Alan and Beryl Turner, of northwest England, stroll the boardwalk at Magee Marsh during “The Biggest Week in American Birding.” Although they missed the king’s big day, the two said they were once invited to the Queen’s Garden Party in 2000, because at 40 years, they were the longest serving couple at Tameside General Hospital in Greater Manchester, England. They have been coming to “The Biggest Week in American Birding” every year from the start, except during COVID. (Press photo by Ken Grosjean)
