Summer Reading is right around the corner at the Harris-Elmore and Genoa libraries.
This year’s theme is “Tails and Tales,” and focuses on how to use literature and other library resources to explore the wild side of summer.
Sign up online or in person; prizes will be awarded just for registering. Participants who read a certain number of hours (children’s and teen programs) or books (baby and adult programs), will receive prizes at various intervals throughout the program.
Log hours or books online through Wandoo Reader, then come back to the library to pick up your prizes. If you sign up online, there will also be fun games and challenges to complete for additional prizes or entries for the three grand prizes.
Children’s grand prizes include Imagination Station tickets, Sky Zone tickets and a Mega Slime Kit.
Teen grand prizes include Kings Island Tickets (Elmore and Genoa); an Echo Dot (Elmore and Genoa); a chocolate fountain; a $20 Mel-O-Creme gift card (Genoa) and a Movie Night Box (Elmore).
Adult grand prizes include Miller Boat Line passes (Genoa); a $50 Genoa Nutrition Bucks/gift card (Genoa); a Mr. Coffee Set and a $15 Christy’s Corner gift card (Elmore); Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Museum Passes (Elmore and Genoa) and Toledo Maritime Museum passes (Elmore)
