To All Interested Bidders:

Harris Township will receive sealed bids subject to the conditions contained therein until 4:00 pm, Monday, November 5, 2018. All bids received according to the specified conditions will be publicly opened and read at 6:30 pm, Monday, November 5, 2018, at the Harris-Elmore Fire Station, 321 Rice Street, Elmore, OH, 43416. Two separate bids are requested in accordance with plans and specs as adopted by the Harris-Elmore Fire Department and detailed in the specifications.


One bid is for proposed firefighting self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).

One bid is for proposed firefighting extrication tools.

The Specifications and Bid Documents contained in each document package are available via the Harris Township Website: or via email by contacting Fire Chief, Jim Wilburn, at to request a copy of the Specifications and Bid Documents.

Harris Township reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any technicalities.

Bids will be chosen based upon the best and most appropriate bid and not necessarily based upon the lowest bid.

The Northwood Board of Zoning Appeals regular meeting of Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018 in the Northwood Municipal Building Council Chambers has been cancelled. There are no agenda items for review at this time.

The Northwood Planning Commission will hold a regular meeting on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Northwood Municipal Building. Planning Commission will appoint a member to the Housing Council and will also be review a proposed property maintenance code.

The City of Oregon Civil Service Commission will conduct an examination for the position of Maintenance Worker on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 10:00 am at the cafeteria at Clay High School, 5665 Seaman Road, Oregon. Applications must be fi led at the Civil Service Commission office, 5330 Seaman Road, from September 24 – October 5, 2018 during regular business hours. Notice of Public Hearing The Oak Harbor Village Council will hold a public hearing on October 22, 2018 at 6:45 P.M. in Village Council Chambers, 146 Church Street to obtain public comment on the establishment of zoning classification on for Parcel No 0260642608363000 (0 Locust St. Rear), Agricultural Vacant Land for a total of 1.153 acres that has been annexed to the Village of Oak Harbor to be zoned General Business District (GB). The property is owned by Central Colony Apartments LLC (Mike Shadoan). Questions or concerns prior to the above scheduled hearing may be addressed to the Village Administrator, 419-898-5561 during normal business hours.


On the 10th day of September, 2018, the Council of the City of Oregon, Ohio, duly adopted Resolution No. 097-2018 declaring
it necessary to improve: 

South Norden Road from the centerline of Seaman Road southerly for a distance of approximately
1213 feet to Wolf Creek by the installation of sanitary sewer laterals including necessary street and right of way restoration and other necessary appurtenances thereto. 

Said legislation approving the plans, specifications, and profi les prepared by the Department of Public Service Engineers are now on fi le in the offi ce of the Director of Public Service. The estimate of the cost of the improvement,
now on file in the Finance Offi ce, provides that the whole cost of the improvement except two (2) percent of the entire cost shall be assessed by the City of Oregon upon the lots and lands bounding and abutting the proposed improvement as described by said resolution. The estimated assessments for such improvement based on the engineer’s estimate of costs are now on file in the office
of the Finance Director and are available for inspection by any interested person. Objections to the assessment, amount, or apportionment thereof must be fi led in writing in the offi ce of the Finance Director within two weeks from the date you received notice of this resolution.
