NORTHWOOD BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS PUBLIC MEETING

The Northwood Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.  All Board of Zoning Appeals meetings are open to the public and are held on the second Tuesday of each month unless it is necessary to reschedule.   The following appeals cases will be reviewed: 

Case No. 0657:  Gary Roberts Jr., 211 Morgan St., Northwood, Ohio is requesting a 2’ variance to allow a 6’ fence in the rear yard adjacent to the neighbor’s side yard. N.C.O. Section 1250.06 (b)(3).

Case No. 0658:  Rachel King & Gary Dusseau, 1832 Reva Dr., Northwood, Ohio are requesting a 2’ variance to allow a 6’ fence in the side yard. N.C.O. Section 1250.06 (b)(2).

Case No. 0659:  Barbara Rodriguez, 720 Anderson St., Northwood, Ohio is requesting a 2’ variance to allow a 6’ fence in the side yard and a 2’6” variance to allow a 6’ fence in the front yard. N.C.O. Section 1250.06 (b)(2) & (b)(1).

The Northwood Planning Commission regular meeting of Monday, September 10, 2018 in the Northwood Municipal Building Council Chambers has been cancelled.  There are no agenda items for review at this time.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Village of Woodville Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 6:30pm in Council Chambers at the Village Municipal Building, 530 Lime Street, Woodville, Ohio 43469. This hearing is to receive public concerns and comments on a request for variance from Steve & Jennifer Burner of 801 Challenger Memorial Drive; they are on a corner lot and requesting a permit for a 6’privacy fence in the exterior side yard (west) that will be 2’ higher than the Ordinance allows. Ordinance 1125.04 limits exterior side lot fences not to exceed 4ft. The Village of Genoa is offering for sale 2.493 acres of property at O S. Railroad St. approximate location is at the corner of 6th and West St. near the Genoa library.

Stipulations to the sale are the property be used for the construction of Condominiums or Town Houses. INVITATION TO BIDDERS

Sealed proposals will be received at the City of Northwood until 12:00 Noon Local Time, August  15, 2018, at which time they will be opened and read immediately thereafter for the:

Municipal Building roofing replacement

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The proposed work consists of furnishing and installing a 50         mill single-ply membrane roofing system covering         approximately 4900 sq. feet of a portion of the flat roof at the   City of Northwood Municipal Building.

A “Scope of Work” and Roofing Specification sheet may be obtained from the City’s website at www.ci.northwood.oh.us. A bid guarantee instrument must be submitted with the bid.  The bid guarantee instrument shall be in the form of a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond for the FULL AMOUNT of the bid or a certified check, cashier’s check, or irrevocable letter of credit for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code.  The bid guarantee shall be made payable to the City of Northwood, Ohio, and is to be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted and a contract is awarded to the BIDDER, the contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.

Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Wood County and the City of Northwood, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services Wage and Hour Division. (614) 644-2239.

The successful bidder must be a verifiable DURO-LAST Distributor.

Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein.  Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity.  No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.

The City of Northwood reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid that it deems most favorable.
