PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Village of Woodville Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 6:30pm in Council Chambers at the Village Municipal Building, 530 Lime Street, Woodville, Ohio 43469. This hearing is to receive public concerns and comments on a request for variance from Steve & Jennifer Burner of 801 Challenger Memorial Drive; they are on a corner lot and requesting a permit for a 6’privacy fence in the exterior side yard (west) that will be 2’ higher than the Ordinance allows. Ordinance 1125.04 limits exterior side lot fences not to exceed 4ft. Land for Sale
The Village of Genoa is offering for sale 2.493 acres of property at O S. Railroad St. approximate location is at the corner of 6th and West St. near the Genoa library.

Stipulations to the sale are the property be used for the construction of Condominiums or Town Houses. Village water, sewer, and electric are available, and extensions to the property are the responsibility of the developer. All plans are to be reviewed and authorized by the Village Planning Commission.

INVITATION TO BIDDERS

Sealed proposals will be received at the City of Northwood until 12:00 Noon Local Time, August  15, 2018, at which time they will be opened and read immediately thereafter for the:

Municipal Building roofing replacement

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The proposed work consists of furnishing and installing a 50         mill single-ply membrane roofing system covering         approximately 4900 sq. feet of a portion of the flat roof at the   City of Northwood Municipal Building.

A “Scope of Work” and Roofing Specification sheet may be obtained from the City’s website at www.ci.northwood.oh.us. A bid guarantee instrument must be submitted with the bid.  The bid guarantee instrument shall be in the form of a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond for the FULL AMOUNT of the bid or a certified check, cashier’s check, or irrevocable letter of credit for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code.  The bid guarantee shall be made payable to the City of Northwood, Ohio, and is to be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted and a contract is awarded to the BIDDER, the contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.

Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Wood County and the City of Northwood, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services Wage and Hour Division. (614) 644-2239.

Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein.  Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity.  No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.

The City of Northwood reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid that it deems most favorable.

The Northwood Planning Commission regular meeting of Monday, August 13, 2018 in the Northwood Municipal Building Council Chambers has been cancelled.  There are no agenda items for review at this time.

 NORTHWOOD BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS PUBLIC MEETING
The Northwood Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.  All Board of Zoning Appeals meetings are open to the public and are held on the second Tuesday of each month unless it is necessary to reschedule.   The following appeals cases will be reviewed:

                                               PUBLIC SALE OF DEPARTMENT PROPERTY

The Village of Rocky Ridge has authorized the sale of personal property valued at over $1,000.  The Village is accepting sealed bids for two vehicles: 

        1998 Ford 4-door Crown Victoria 

        1948 Dodge Fire Engine (AS IS).

Vehicles may be inspected by contacting JJ France at 419-967-5313. Sealed bids will be accepted until August 20, 2018 until 6:30 p.m. Bids must include your name, address, phone number and amount of your bid. Bid envelopes shall be sealed and clearly marked with appropriate vehicle. Bids will be publicly opened at the Village Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. on August 20. NOTICE OF ASSESSMENT
Take notice that in accordance with Ohio Revised Code, the Charter of the City of Oregon and ordinances of record, provision is made to assess delinquent water and sewer charges due the City of Oregon.

The Director of Public Service is authorized and has the right to certify delinquent water and sewer charges to the tax duplicate.  The delinquent charges are on file in the office of the Finance Director and are open for public inspection at all reasonable times and to all persons interested, for the year 2017.

The delinquent charges, including a penalty charge and added expenses shall be levied and assessed against the parcels of real estate of which said delinquencies were derived and will be certified to the County Auditor for collection on the tax duplicate.

NOTICE OF ASSESSMENT

Take notice that in accordance with Ohio Revised Code, the Charter of the City of Oregon and ordinances of record, provision is made to abate public nuisances upon the lots and lands within the City of Oregon.

The Commissioner of Building and Zoning ordered the demolition and removal of the structure located at 2431 Pickle Road.  The cost of demolition and removal will be assessed on parcel 44-55616.

Take notice that in accordance with Ohio Revised Code, the Charter of the City of Oregon and ordinances of record, provision is made to maintain drainage facilities in the City of Oregon.

The Director of Public Service is authorized and directed to provide for the upkeep and maintenance of said drainage facilities.  The record plats of Heritage Estates, Hickory Shores, Cardinal Estates, Park Place, Foxgate, Bay Meadows, Parkgelande, The Drake, The Vineyard, Haley Hollow 1 and Haley Hollow 2 subdivisions in the City of Oregon, state that all owners of lots in these plats will be subject to an assessment for the maintenance and repair of the Storm Water Pump Lift Stations in said subdivisions.  Estimates therefore are on file in the office of the Finance Director and are open for public inspection at all reasonable times and to all persons interested, for the year 2017.

NOTICE OF ASSESSMENT

Take notice that in accordance with Ohio Revised Code, the Charter of the City of Oregon and ordinances of record provision is made to prevent the growth of noxious weeds and rank vegetation upon the lots and lands within the City of Oregon.

The Inspection Department is authorized and directed to provide for the cutting of said noxious weeds and rank vegetation throughout the year.
