DJ Foos thought coming into the weekend he needed at least a pair of top three finishes to gain some momentum going into Ohio Sprint Speedweek. He did much better than that.

The biggest thing the Clay softball team had going for it this year was that everybody was learning a new position.
Ten players were voted either first or second team Alan Miller Jewelers All-Press, but that’s nearly the entire team.

So there are only nine players on the field at any one time in a softball game, unless you also count a designated player or a fielder who doesn’t bat.
