Bill Myers, of Oregon, has been elected District 2 trustee for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation. His election took place during the organization’s 103rd annual meeting.
He will represent Farm Bureau members from Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky and Wood counties.

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has approved a settlement agreement with the three FirstEnergy utilities, Toledo Edison, Ohio Edison and Cleveland Electric Illuminating Co., directing them to refund customers $306 million.

It seems fitting that one of Rick Claar’s last official acts as mayor of Elmore before he died Monday was to sign an agreement authorizing the village to partner with Ottawa County in a study of extending the county’s regional water system to the village.
