For the past five years, the Cook sisters, Cam and Morgan of Oregon, have helped their Papa Wayne Dreier, a Navy veteran, put flags on veteran’s graves at St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery.

Because of COVID-9 fears, lives have changed dramatically especially for students. The social distancing has required home schooling and virtual classes.

Central Catholic High School’s Class of 2020 is the 100th class to graduate from the school. Although the traditional graduation ceremony scheduled for May 18 was canceled due to COVID-19, this year’s seniors will still be honored with a blended virtual and in-person ceremony.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association informed member schools April 20, that spring sports are now canceled, as Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced earlier in the day that school facilities will remain closed for the remainder of the academic year due to the coronavirus COVID-19.
