After the wet spring, growers in Ohio are facing issues of quantity and quality with the supply of hay.
“Some of the hay’s quality is so low, the animal could actually starve with their hay right in front of them,” said Ted Wiseman, Ohio State University Extension educator.

Counties, soil and water conservation districts, land trusts, municipalities and townships are invited to apply to the Office of Farmland Preservation for Local Sponsor Certification.
The application period for certification is open through Oct. 11.

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that all children ages 6 months and older be vaccinated for influenza for the 2019-2020 season, preferably by the end of October, with either the flu shot or the nasal spray vaccine.
