Officers from the Clay Township Police Department are offering to let you deface one of their cruisers – for a price.
From 5 to 7 p.m., Nov. 26, those who bring a new toy, canned goods and non-perishable items to The Pack a Cruiser event at the McDonald’s restaurant on Ohio 51 get a chance to sign the vehicle.
The Ottawa County prosecutor recently made a plea to county commissioners for raises for non-union workers.
The workers, including 10 full-time people in his office, have not received raises in four years. “They’ll be going on their fifth year without raises,” Prosecutor Mark Mulligan said in a telephone interview this week, reiterating what he told county commissioners Steve Arndt, Jim Sass and Mark Stahl during his office budget hearing.
The management of a primary health care system plans to open a new facility in Troy Township by March of next year.
Joe Liszak, chief executive officer of Community Health Services, said the purchase of property at 5734 Fremont Pike has been completed as have the required building and zoning permits for the 6,700-square-foot, two-story facility.
